Mobile Monday Estonia partners up with The Year of Innovation 2009

Mobile Monday Estonial on hea meel teatada, et me oleme Innovatsiooniaasta 2009 aktiivsed partnerid ning meie üritused lähevad Innovatsiooniaasta kalendrisse, samuti oleme me olemas www.in.ee keskkonnas.

Innovatsiooniaasta korraldajad kutsuvad uuenduslikke inimesi ja organisatsioone uuendajate kohtumispaika www.in.ee. Esimese kahe nädalaga registreeris in.ee lehel end uuenduslikuna 130 organisatsiooni ja ligi 250 inimest.

"Kutsume kõiki uuendusmeelseid inimesi ja organisatsioone olema teistele eeskujuks ja inspiratsiooniks. Nii lühikese aja jooksul liitunute arv näitab, et Eestis on innovatsioonipotentsiaali, on inimesi ja organisatsioone, kes tunnevad, et saavad uuendustele kaasa aidata," ütles Innovatsiooniaasta juht Urmas Kõiv.

Portaalis saavad nii inimesed kui ka organisatsioonid registreeruda ning tutvustada, mille poolest nad innovatiivsed on. Kodulehekülg pakub külastajatele võimalust öelda välja omapoolne idee, mis lahendaks mõnda probleemi või oleks lihtsalt edasiviivaks jõuks kas inimese, organisatsiooni või ühiskonna tasandil. Kellel ideed pole, võivad esitada omapoolse probleemi, millele soovitakse head nõu.

Innovatsiooniteemadel arutlemiseks on loodud avatud blogikeskkond, lisaks saab tutvuda juba avaldatud uudistega ja õppida videoloengutel. Portaal koondab infot ka innovatsiooniteemaliste ürituste kohta ning tutvustab uuendusmeelseid inimesi.

„Uudiste kajastamisel soovib portaal hoida tasakaalu tehnoloogiliste ja mitte-tehnoloogilise sisuga uudiste vahel," ütles in.ee toimetaja Aivar Hannolainen.

Registreerumata kasutajad saavad portaali täismahus lugeda, neil puudub vaid kommenteerimise, teemade algatamise ja muud veebisisu loomise võimalus.

Innovatsiooniaasta projekti initsiaatoriks on Majandus- ja Kommunikatsiooniministeerium ning selle aluseks EASi poolt elluviidav Innovatsiooniteadlikkuse programm. Innovatsiooniaasta patroon on Eesti Vabariigi President Toomas Hendrik Ilves.

Mobile Monday Estonia is glad to announce that we are the active partners of the year of innovation 2009. Our events will be in the year of innovation events calendar and our organisation is presented in teh www.in.ee environment.

In his speech on the eve of 2009, the President of the Republic of Estonia declared 2009 the year of innovation. President Toomas Hendrik Ilves is also the patron of the year of innovation.

“Difficult times open us new opportunities. Estonia is too small a country to move on by force. We can improve our life only by wit. I’m truly glad that the year of innovation was initiated now,” said Mr Toomas Hendrik Ilves, President of the Republic of Estonia, when inaugurating the year of innovation.

The year of innovation is the nation-wide year-long cooperation project that is focussed on developing the spirit of innovation throughout the society. We wish to stress the importance of innovation, to motivate entrepreneurs to do smart business, adapt to new economic conditions, and seek competitive edge by product and service development.

In order to have smart entrepreneurs, specialists, artists, scientist and teachers in the future, we have to encourage that striving for education and knowledge among young people is a trendy life-style. Today, innovation is often considered something technical, inventing something new. We wish to show that one can be innovative in every field of life, everyone can make innovations, and use them in their everyday life.

The aim of the year of innovation project is that, within a year’s time, the people in Estonia would consider innovation as an integral part of their life, not something technocratic or distant. The year of innovation brings out the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship in the Estonian people, and spotlights those who consider innovativeness as natural part of their life.

The year of innovation integrates many already existing innovation related initiatives and actions, and creates a common background to leverage their message and blend them into an Estonia-wide partnership. Many useful innovations together entail economic growth.

The year of innovation project was initiated by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, and it is based on the innovation awareness programme of Enterprise Estonia.
