TechChill Baltics Technology and Startup Conference in Riga
After a sold-out TechCrunch Baltics conference last year, TechHub Riga is running its winter conference again on February 12th, 2013, only this time under the name TechChill Baltics. The same pan-Baltic and European crowd, more great speakers from the region and of course the best beer and chilly weather!
This is THE winter conference MobileMonday Estonia recommends to visit in the region.
TechChill Baltics conference is organized by the non-profit TechHub Riga which has grown into important startup collaboration and community space for new IT & technology companies in Latvia.

TechChill is on a mission to inspire Baltic & Nordic startup community to reach new limits and achieve amazing performance, so that more and more world-class ideas would appear and create success stories.
Speakers already signed up include Ben Holmes (Index Ventures), who will talk about his view on Nordic and Baltic investment opportunities, while Andreas Ehn (CTO of Wrapp and formerly of Spotify) will recount some stories from the early days of Spotify and Wrapp, and what the lessons are for technology entrepreneurs.
Roy Vella, formerly Head of Mobile Payments for Paypal in Europe and an advisor to many European banks, will explain the coming mobile payments revolution and what the opportunities and challenges it brings.
The top-notch investor panel includes participants from Creandum, Conor Ventures, Sunstone Capital, Seedcamp, and Index Ventures, among others. The hackathon panel will help gather the best advice on how to turn a weekend project into a real business.

Recently two more speakers have joined: Rhett Weiss, Executive Director of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute at Cornell, and Jim Brikman, software engineer and head of incubation and hackday programs at LinkedIn
Like last year, the conference will end with a rockin' party at the co-working space TechHub Riga, this time celebrating our one year birthday.
If you are a startup, don’t miss out to present your idea to the conference attendees and investors by participating in the Baltic Pitch Contest. This is the best opportunity that startups from the three Baltic States that are looking for funding will have in a long time!
