Thank you for a great MobileMonday event!
Thank you everybody for coming. And thank you for the kind words on the event :) It was great to get to know something and everybody which is and are usually a bit further away from smartphones, mobile operators, mobile development platforms, or micropayments. Internet of Things is here and I hope we all know about it now a little bit more.
Please find below the slides of the talks (which had slides) and of course the photos!Slides:
Priit Salumaa spoke about the upcoming Garage48 Hardware & Arts hackathon.
Indrek Rebane spoke without slides and showed is sawn-off Raspberry Pi board :) Main point -- electronic kits are only good for prototyping. For products use more professional tools. When comparing Arduino and Raspberry Pi. The first is great to prototype a wrist watch, the second for a smart-TV.
Steve Perkson spoke about Arduino.
Paul Guermonprez from Intel Software Academic Program did not have slides either and was speaking to us over the Skype. It was great to see him, hear about Galileo boards and what Intel is Doing with Universities (50 000 of those boards will be distributed to the universities for free!!! Just apply!). Also he had a recommendation how to decrease the risk of burning down your Arduino board - power your externals separately, not through the board.
Jüri Tarkpea spoke about their experience with M2M and fleet tracking business.
Tauri Tuubel spoke about their smart-dust technology and business cases.
Great thanks to our supporters! Department of Business Development at Tartu City Government, Mooncascade, Fortumo, Messente, Mobi Lab.
